of this item, in its current form. and let me say why. you know, we saw the headlines in the chronicle today about of 2014, we have about 1900 high school students in the city and county of san francisco that may not be able to graduate, and meet the graduation requirements that were established by the san francisco board of education. we, in san francisco, have seen tremendous economic growth coming out of the most severe recession since the great depression, and having served on regional bodies that include other jurisdictions, i can tell you that we are very lucky in san francisco, that we are lucky that we have the resources that we have had, and that we hopefully will continue to have. but, yetd yet, in a city as wealthy as san francisco we have a school district that is facing a crisis.
